  • Basic editing and proofreading techniques

Week 3: Microsoft Word Basics

  • Creating and formatting documents (fonts, styles, alignment)
  • Inserting and formatting images, shapes, and SmartArt
  • Spell check, grammar check, and proofreading tools

Week 4: Microsoft Excel Basics

  • Introduction to Microsoft Excel interface
  • Data entry and manipulation (entering data, copying and pasting, autofill)
  • Basic formulas and functions (sum, average, count, max, min)
  • Formatting cells, rows, and columns

Week 5: Introduction to the Internet

  • Navigating web browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge)
  • Conducting online searches effectively
  • Basics of internet safety and security (protecting personal information, recognizing scams)

Week 6: Microsoft PowerPoint Basics

  • Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint interface
  • Creating and formatting slides (text boxes, images, shapes)
  • Slide layouts, themes, and transitions
  • Adding animations and multimedia elements

Week 7: Email and Communication Tools

  • Using email applications for communication (Outlook, Gmail)
  • Composing, sending, receiving, and managing emails
  • Organizing emails into folders and using filters
  • Understanding email etiquette and best practices

Week 8: Basic Troubleshooting and Maintenance

  • Identifying common computer problems and errors
  • Basic troubleshooting techniques (restarting, checking connections)
  • Managing software updates and security patches
  • Backing up important files and data

Assessment:
